It’s very simple to win the Inaugural Award and grab a cheque for £1,000. Just enter, create and deliver the best presentation! You’ve got to be in it to win it; this is what’s happening and what you need to know:

We want to interest, encourage and motivate you. You already have a heavy work schedule at Kingston University, and we recognise that. Which is why we have structured the Brian Francis Memorial Award the way we have. All you have to do is be the one who delivers the best presentation of their Research Methods Module Dissertation Research Proposal. Not a lot more work; but a lot more fun! Please note that ‘best presentation’ encompasses:

• Content of your presentation
• Use of presentation materials
• Presentation delivery in front of a judging panel

Dr. Jay Singh, Research Methods Module leader, will support today’s presentation with further explanation as required. You have from today until 4th April 2008 to submit written research proposals. A short list of 5 candidates, from the total body of work submitted by the cohort, will be selected by members of the Course team, including Course Director Patricia Harris.

The short listed candidates will then be invited to prepare a presentation lasting 20 minutes, plus Q&A, at the end of April 2008. These presentations will take place in front of the rest of the cohort, plus guests from the Francis family and Faculty.
